Європейський Союз (ЄС) є ключовим гравцем у світовій політиці та економіці, а його стратегічні рішення впливають на міжнародні процеси. ЄС відіграє активну роль у сприянні стабільності, безпеці та економічному розвитку як у межах своїх держав-членів, так і в глобальному масштабі. Метою цього дослідження було вивчення основних етапів еволюції політики ЄС, простеження її розвитку від моменту створення до сьогодення, а також виявлення основних чинників, які вплинули на ці зміни. Методологія дослідження охоплювала історичний аналіз, порівняльну оцінку міжнародних угод та огляд нормативних документів ЄС. Ці підходи надали уявлення про те, як політика ЄС змінювалася з часом. Результати дослідження показують, що ЄС пройшов кілька трансформаційних етапів. Спочатку зосереджуючись переважно на економічній співпраці в рамках Європейського економічного співтовариства (ЄЕС), Союз поступово перейшов до глибшої інтеграції у політичній, соціальній та безпековій сферах. У перші роки акцент був на зміцненні економічної інтеграції та створенні єдиного ринку, що відіграло вирішальну роль у стимулюванні торгівлі та економічного зростання серед держав-членів. 1990-ті роки стали поворотним моментом: підписання Маастрихтського договору офіційно заснувало ЄС і запровадило євро як спільну валюту. Після цього важливого кроку політика ЄС почала орієнтуватися на зміцнення спільних зовнішніх та безпекових стратегій, а також на розширення свого геополітичного впливу через ініціативи розширення, які привели нових членів. Дослідження підкреслює, що як внутрішні, так і зовнішні виклики значно вплинули на розвиток політики ЄС. Серед них – фінансові кризи, питання міграції та далекосяжні наслідки Brexit. Ці фактори змусили ЄС адаптуватися до нових обставин та здійснити реформи, що вплинули на його політичні, економічні та безпекові стратегії. Це дослідження може стати основою для прогнозування майбутніх змін у політиці ЄС, оскільки Союз продовжує адаптуватися до нових глобальних викликів. Воно може бути корисним для політиків, дослідників та установ, зацікавлених у розумінні постійної трансформації політичного ландшафту ЄС
