Labor market amid the crisis and ways to improve its governmental regulation

Oleksandra Vojtyk Nataliia Mazii
Abstract

The theoretical foundations of public employment management in Ukraine are considered and the main measures to improve the State regulation of the labor market in crisis conditions are proposed. The author analyzes the number of vacancies in the labor market and the number of unemployed (2018-2022) in Ukraine as a whole and by regions, studies the phenomenon of forced relocation of enterprises, and identifies problematic areas of the economy with an imbalance in the number of vacancies and unemployed. The rating of demanded vacancies and unemployed by specialties is considered, which indicates that the demand and supply of the same vacancies are practically duplicated, which shows the insufficient level of qualification of workers and their number, low wages, inadequate working conditions, etc.
