Regulatory and legal provision of the fight against illegal armed groups in Ukraine

Abstract

The author analyzes the issue of defining an illegal armed formation (hereinafter - IAF), and identifies the content of the problems that require legal solution to combat IAF. The author outlines the system of regulatory legal acts of Ukraine and key international legal acts related to terrorism and terrorist financing; some of their shortcomings are emphasized. The author emphasizes the importance of adopting an international legal act recognizing the Russian Federation (hereinafter - RF) as an aggressor state in order to bring it to legal responsibility, as well as to recognize the occupation administrations of the Russian Federation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions as terrorist organizations at the national and international levels
