A general assessment of the organizational and legal mechanisms of the prenatal stage of perinatal care in Ukraine in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic is made. The practical aspects of this process at the regional level are analyzed. The main directions of improving the state regulation of perinatal care in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic are identified and a model of rapid response to the spread of infection for the provision of medical services to pregnant women is proposed
